Apple announces the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch

Yes, we have all been waiting for it: the iPhone 6. The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus will launch on September 19 in the first wave of countries. The first reviews describe the units as “thin and sexy”, “bigger and better”, with impressive battery life. With pre-orders rolling in as of September 12th, it is estimated that the iPhone 6 Plus will be extremely difficult to get with wait times of up to 3-4 weeks. The iPhone 6 is available within 7-10 day business days. That being said, if you just can’t wait you should probably go ahead and pre-order an iPhone 6 now.

Apple is touting this as the biggest release since they launched the original iPhone. The iPhone 6 features a new more ergonomic design, with a power button that was moved to the side (to be easier to reach after the increase in screen size). The Touch ID home key is still in place as is the Lightning connector. There are tons of reviews out there, everyone is trying to decide whether to go with 6 or 6 Plus. We found this review of the new iPhone on TechRadar.com to be pretty detailed, so check it out for a nice overview. Of course you can also watch the “Introducing iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus” product film on the Apple website.

Now… The Apple Watch. This is pretty amazing and had everyone on their feet with applause during the Apple release Keynote. Apple Watch is as much about self-expression as it is utility. There are a range of watch faces and millions of ways to personalize it.  It will be interesting to see all the ways this new and innovative product will be integrated into our lifestyle, for example Apple is promoting the Apple Watch as a fitness tool. We will be staying on top of all the trends and updates – looking forward to seeing what the new iPhone 6 has to offer.
