iPhone 5s Meets Car Door

We get all types of “iDropped it” and “iStepped on it”

We even had one “iUsed it for target practice” 😉

But the good old favourite for quickly causing catastrophic damage is “iClosed it in the car door”

For some reason, folding you phone has just the right angles to make everything go crunch, lol. Does this mean you phone is dead, never to bleep again? We think not!

By design, the hardest materials in most devices are on the exterior, protecting the more sensitive components inside. And guess what, your logic boards and mother boards, can bend. Not a whole lot, but normally enough to not damage in cases like this. Yes in the case of “iUsed my iPad for target practice” it was beyond repair. There are some important things between the front and the back, and when the front tries to exist though the back door, chances are the device is done. Puncturing the device several time is never a good idea, and not just because it says so on the battery. :-0

What does it take to make them all new again? How much do repairs like this cost? In this case it was about 100.00

One new screen, give the frame some love and attention, and presto. 20 minutes later, one back to almost perfect looking gold and white iPhone 5s.

Could we charge more for repairs like this? Absolutely.
